Ataxia Advisory Committee for Therapeutics

|
|
Pre-application submission for Ataxia Advisory Committee for Therapeutics (Ataxia ACT) meeting on 11 and 12 November in London, UK, is now closed.
|
|
The next Ataxia ACT meetings are scheduled for 3-4 April 2025 (USA) and 6-7 November 2025 (Europe). Further details can be found on our website.

The goal of the Ataxia ACT is to de-risk therapy development for ataxias.
|
|
The Ataxia ACT is one of AGI’s trial readiness services. The committee reviews and provides objective advice on the planning and execution of preclinical and clinical drug development programs for (all forms of) ataxias.
|
|
|
|
|
|

AGI Steering Committee Election
|
|
|
In Autumn 2024, the new AGI Steering Committee will be elected.
|
From 23 September to 7 October 2024, all AGI members with profound experience in ataxia will be invited to nominate themselves for the Steering Committee. Nominees have to assign their self-nomination to one of the following ballot categories:
|
- Academia
- Patient Representatives (PAO),
- Non-Academia/Non-PAO (i.e. industry/other)

Invitation for Researchers, Clinicians,
and Patient Representatives from
African Countries
|
|
|
The Ataxia Global Initiative is a worldwide private partnership between ataxia researchers, clinicians, patient representatives, and industry with the goal to facilitate the clinical development of therapies for ataxias. The AGI has a solid representation by countries from Europe, North America, Latin America, Asia, and Pacific.
|
|
With only one AGI member from Algeria, the African continent is the least represented at the AGI. To change that, we would like to invite representatives of the above categories from all African countries to join the AGI. Please send us an informal interest to AtaxiaGlobalOffice@med.uni-tuebingen.de or apply for (free) AGI membership.
|
|
